I'm taking a course on breast cancer in literature (for my medical humanities minor) and it is genuinely insane how many historical myths this class is just casually perpetuating. I'm stuck in an endless cycle of reading a book/handout, stumbling onto a passage about historical medicine, noticing some kind of discrepancy that makes me think "hmmmmm, that doesn't sound right," and looking it up to discover that my instinct was correct and the book was wrong or misleading. This has happened three times and it's the first week of the semester! This class is going to kill me

In the Apocalypse World, they make many disturbing insinuations that women have been mostly eradicated on their world. Now, this may just be Michael's efficient genocidal tactic…

But how dark would it've been if it was a pre-emptive strike to prevent the creation of Nephilim? Yes, we know there was a Michael Vs. Lucifer civil war, but WHAT IF there were multiple splits in the angelic war machine? Raphael, anyone?

And so, they destroy women and ANY hint of human paramour.

Since Gabriel is so associated with the decimation of the original Nephilim in The Book of Enoch, how cool would it've been to see dark!Gabriel, but his SOLE mission...is to kill human women.

looking through the art book right now (which is super awesome btw everyone should buy it NEOWW) and i just got to Thespius' little section! i noticed in the initial art of him included different hands, which spell out "DOOM" in ASL

am i correct on this or am i reading too much into concept art LOL

It does say "doom". The original version of that painting had lyrics from a Tiny Tim song on it, a song about apocryphal doom and global warming... from 1968. lol. It's "The Other Side". It's such an awesome song. So so good.
